Praise for t.A.T.u.'s "All About Us" from the UK's NME
The NME placed t.A.T.u.'s "All About Us" on their "What's on the NME's Stereo" list and wrote: "They're back - with a chorus as big as the cosmos with epic production to match."

The NME? Those w@nker$? Some going to get a decent review out of those guys. _________________ The Tajik in space was the best one. Apparently he's been in the Soyuz since 1990 but when the USSR broke up responsibility for getting him back passed to Tajikistan, which could not afford it. However he's been paid ever since and now has USD 100,000,000 in his space account. He can't spend it until he hires a ship to get him down, which he will do if you activate his bank account... |

I am a fan of NME, they are way better than any popular music magazine that comes out of the U.S., anyway (but that's the fact with UK music mags, anyway, sadly).
Glad they liked it. _________________ If nothing ever moves, put that needle to the groove. And sing. |

NME just like All About us because they think it's sort of funny and naff to do so, plus in general the UK public has totally forgotten about Tatu.
Stay tuned for their total slating of the album _________________

Good thing I don't buy it then, I gave up on NME about the same time I gave up on Kerrang both mags are below even being used as toilet paper to me. _________________ F@*k authority I do what ever I want. |

NME, (although quite pompous when it comes to 'real music') realise that the present music scene is boring - they may praise t.A.T.u. now, but a single or two along the line will be greeted by another nasty review. But let's just be happy that it's extra publicity for the girls and hope NME don't turn nasty. |

That looks like it could be the case - let's just hope that "all about us" brings t.A.T.u more fans and maybe some respect from such mags as NME and others too! |

There's one journalist working for the NME, Peter Robinson, who's very much into pure pop over and above the indie music all of the other writers favour. His appreciation of t.A.T.u. certainly isn't ironic - he's been championing them for a very long time.
My guess would be that he's the one responsible for praising 'All About Us' in this case. When the single is reviewed at the time of release, it'll probably be written about by a different writer and then slated. This isn't hypocracy, as, naturally enough, all journalists are entitled to their own opinions. The problem with the NME and its kind is that it's too difficult to follow which journalist has written any given piece, so it's not possible to distinguish individuals from the sticky mass of the magazine as a whole.
As a point of interest, Peter Robinson is also the guy responsible for the rather excellent popjustice.com. _________________ Just say maybe.
